QSE Index Opens Higher with Gains Across Six Sectors

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) opened on a positive note on Wednesday, with the general index rising by 50.51 points, or 0.47%, to reach 10,747 points, compared to the previous session’s close.

According to Qatar News Agency, the upward movement was driven by gains across six sectors: Transportation (+1.36%), Consumer Goods and Services (+0.61%), Telecoms (+0.35%), Banks and Financial Services (+0.30%), Industrials (+0.26%), and Real Estate (+0.12%). Insurance was the only sector to post a decline, slipping 0.17%.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 43.283 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 87.175 million across 4,986 transactions.
