Korean Stocks Rise to Over 3-Year High

Doha: South Korea’s Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) stock market surpassed the 2,900-point mark for the first time in over three years.

According to Qatar News Agency, the index reached 2,903.20 points in morning trading, an increase of 31.35 points, or 1.09%, from the previous trading session. The trading day began with the index 15.47 points higher than the previous session’s 2,887.32 points and climbed during the session to 2,903.94 points.

This marks the first occasion since January 18, 2022, that the index has exceeded the 2,900-point threshold, when it previously reached 2,902.79 points. The index has been on an upward trend for six consecutive sessions, having started this streak with a 0.05% rise on June 2, 2025.
