Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index declined by 62.18 points, or 0.58%, at the start of trading on Thursday, falling to 10,688 points compared to the previous session's close. The drop was driven by losses across all sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, leading the decline was the Telecoms sector, which fell by 1.99%, followed by Transportation (-0.61%), Industrials and Banks and Financial Services (-49% each), Consumer Goods and Services (-0.35%), Real Estate (-0.33%), and Insurance (-0.06%).
By 10:00 am, QSE reported a total turnover of QR 63.722 million, with 19.706 million shares traded across 4,864 transactions.
