Doha: HE Director-General of Qatar News Agency (QNA) Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi met with a Tunisian media delegation, including Dr. Najeh Missaoui, President and CEO of Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP), Chokri Ben Nessir, CEO of the Tunisian Television Corporation, and Henda Ben Alaya, CEO of the Tunisian National Radio Corporation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing joint media cooperation and exploring new avenues for collaboration between the two news agencies. Discussions were held on how to strengthen and expand the partnership, with an emphasis on exchanging expertise.
During their visit, the Tunisian delegation toured the Qatar News Agency headquarters. They were briefed on QNA's significant contributions and its established role on local, regional, and international fronts. The delegation learned about the agency's advancements over nearly fifty years, which have positioned it as a leading news agency globally.
The delegation also visited various departments and editorial units within the News Department, including the Arabic and English editorial desks, digital content, photography and video, local news, and economic news. They received insights into the journalistic workflow and QNA's multilingual news services, which operate around the clock and have evolved with technological advancements in media and communications.
