Doha: Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council and Qatar Airways signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the second day of the Qatar Economic Forum. The agreement aims to accelerate innovation in aviation, transport, and logistics, while enhancing Qatar's global competitiveness in these sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was formally signed by Secretary General of the QRDI Council Omar Al Ansari, and Group Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer. This marks an important step in fostering impactful collaboration between two of Qatar's leading entities. Al Ansari expressed that the MoU establishes a strong foundation for Qatar to emerge as a global hub for transformative innovation, aiming to attract world-leading partners and accelerate the deployment of high-impact technologies.

Al Meer emphasized Qatar Airways Group's recognition as an innovation leader within the aviation industry. He noted that the MoU creates an opportunity to elevate the nation's position on the global innovation index and firmly establish Qatar as a preferred global hub for the Aviation Tech industry.
