Doha: In its editorial, Al-Raya newspaper highlighted Qatar's significant progress in utilizing artificial intelligence technologies, which are key to the future of technology. The State of Qatar is strategically employing these technologies to improve service quality, expedite procedures, and enhance decision-making efficiency amidst global digital transformation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Council of Ministers Secretariat General announced the launch of the first phase of the "Smart Legislative Advisor" program. This national project, developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, uses AI-powered tools for preparing, reviewing, and analyzing legislation. The program signifies Qatar's shift from theoretical discussions about AI to practical applications impacting government operations and legislative clarity.

The newspaper emphasized that the "Smart Legislative Advisor" project is a strategic step in enhancing legislative drafting, aligning with international best practices. It provides specialists with tools to compare legislation, ensure consistency with higher laws, and conduct comprehensive linguistic reviews, thereby improving legislative quality while maintaining the role of human legal expertise.

Al-Raya concluded that the program embodies an integrated institutional approach to provide decision-makers with precise analytical tools, reduce errors and duplication, and align closely with international practices.
