Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a decline in its latest trading session, closing down by 148.38 points, or 1.47%, to reach 9,954.84 points.

According to Qatar News Agency, the session witnessed the trading of 127,630,498 shares, amounting to a total value of QR 322,968,485.121. These transactions occurred across 30,594 deals encompassing all market sectors. Out of the companies involved, shares of eight companies saw an increase, while 44 companies ended the session on a lower note.

The market capitalization at the end of the day stood at QR 597,832,873,602.256, marking a decrease from QR 608,820,631,434.920 recorded in the previous trading session.
