Qatar Reaffirms Strong Rejection of Attempts to Undermine Palestinian Cause

Doha: In a recent editorial, Al-Raya newspaper emphasized Qatar's staunch opposition to efforts aimed at displacing the Palestinian people from their homeland. The State of Qatar firmly dismisses any calls for the liquidation of the Palestinian cause, which has endured through decades of occupation and war crimes.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim reiterated Qatar's unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, opposing any attempts to undermine it through displacement projects, settlement expansion, or solutions that compromise Palestinian rights. His Excellency highlighted that Qatar's stance aligns with the unified Arab position, international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative, which support the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Raya also underscored the necessity for the occupation government to adhere to international agreements and called for the international community to be accountable for any violations. The newspaper pointed out the continued obstruction by the occupation in implementing humanitarian protocols that allow medical evacuations and the entry of essential supplies into Gaza.

In a separate report, The Peninsula praised Qatar's recent hosting of horse racing and equestrian championships, further cementing its status as a global hub for premier equestrian events. The HH the Amir Sword Racing Festival, with 26 races and a record prize pool of $10 million, was highlighted as a key event in Qatar's racing calendar.

Simultaneously, the HH The Amir Sword Equestrian Festival and CHI Al-Shaqab 2025 attracted international riders for show jumping and dressage competitions at Al-Shaqab's Longines Arena. The launch of the 12th edition of the CHI Al-Shaqab Longines Global Champions Tour 2025 further solidified Qatar's leadership in the equestrian world, as noted by The Peninsula.
