Kuwait city: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) took part in the 21st GCC Executive Committee for Civil Aviation, held on Thursday in Kuwait City. QCAA Acting President Mohammed bin Faleh Al Hajri led Qatar's delegation to the meeting.
According to Qatar News Agency, key outputs from the meeting included a recommendation to establish a unified GCC Civil Aviation Authority, updates to a study on a unified GCC airspace, and a review of mechanisms for cooperation on the unified safety assessment program for foreign aircraft.
Delegates also discussed the work of the committee on public policy and strategic planning, coordination and integration in advanced air transport projects, as well as other initiatives aimed at enhancing civil aviation cooperation across the GCC.
The meeting reflects ongoing efforts by GCC countries to strengthen regional collaboration in air transport and aviation safety.
