Nouakchott: The State of Qatar, through its Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, took part in the 36th session of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs, held in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari delegation was led by HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie. In his address, Dr. Al Subaie emphasized Qatar's commitment to supporting collaborative Arab environmental initiatives and enhancing both regional and international cooperation. These efforts focus on achieving Sustainable Development Goals and safeguarding natural resources for future generations.
On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Al Subaie engaged in discussions with various ministers and heads of delegations. These discussions centered on joint environmental cooperation and aligning Arab positions in global forums. The talks also explored potential partnerships in initiatives aimed at combating desertification and addressing drought challenges, particularly in developing nations.
