Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke by phone on Wednesday with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, to discuss bilateral cooperation and the situation in Venezuela. A statement by the Presidential Press Service of the Russian Federation (Kremlin) said the two leaders exchanged views on current global issues, with particular emphasis on the situation surrounding Venezuela.

According to Qatar News Agency, both presidents affirmed that they share similar views on this matter.
