Protected by Israeli Police, Hundreds of Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

Jerusalem: Hundreds of settlers, escorted by the Israeli occupation police, forced their way Wednesday into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in cascading formations emerging from the Mughrabi Gate side, the Jerusalem Governorate reported in a statement.

According to Qatar News Agency, the statement added that the settlers conducted provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in the mosque's compound.

Meanwhile, the extremist Temple Mount groups called for a large-scale incursion into the compound on Thursday morning, marking one of the Jewish religious holidays.

This move is part of the Israeli occupation's intentions to erase Jerusalem's Islamic and Christian identity and execute plans for the temporal and spatial partitioning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
