Al wakrah: The Private Engineering Office, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the State of Qatar, organized the Pakistani Citrus Exhibition at Al Wakrah Old Market. This event is set to run until January 18, operating daily from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
According to Qatar News Agency, approximately 30 specialized Pakistani companies are participating in the exhibition. They are showcasing an extensive array of Pakistani citrus fruits, including oranges, sour oranges, and sweet oranges, along with other varieties that are well-received by the public.
Director of Al Wakrah Old Market and General Supervisor of the Pakistani Citrus Exhibition, Hamad Rashid Al Kaabi, highlighted that the exhibition is part of a joint cooperation with the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The aim is to stimulate commercial and tourism activity in the market, drawing visitors from both within Qatar and abroad.
Al Kaabi also mentioned that the event has seen a substantial turnout, particularly from families, indicating good sales and the festival's success in achieving its objectives. He stressed the importance of such festivals in revitalizing the old Al Wakrah market, attracting visitors, and creating a unique entertainment atmosphere. This is further enhanced by events on the waterfront and accompanying activities like the weekly antiques and collectibles auction.
In his concluding remarks to QNA, Hamad Rashid Al Kaabi expressed his hope that the exhibition would continue to be held in the coming years, citing its significant popularity and success since its inception.
