Prime Minister of Qatar Discusses Regional Conflict with Chinese Foreign Minister

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi. The discussion focused on the recent military escalation in the region and its impact on regional and international security and stability, along with exploring peaceful resolutions to disputes.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Prime Minister condemned the Iranian attacks on Qatari territory, labeling them as unacceptable under any circumstances. He highlighted Qatar's stance of avoiding regional conflicts and its efforts to facilitate dialogue between Iran and the international community.

The Prime Minister expressed concern over the targeting of vital infrastructure, emphasizing that such actions could endanger the region's populations by affecting water, food, and energy facilities. He called for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions, advocating for a return to negotiations and the prioritization of reason and wisdom to maintain regional security.

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China echoed the call for de-escalation, urging all parties to engage in negotiations and diplomatic efforts to prevent further chaos.
