Prime Minister and Iranian Foreign Minister Discuss Cooperation Amid Regional Tensions

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Abbas Araghchi on Sunday. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the preparatory ministerial meeting for the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, which is set to occur in Doha on Monday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions between the two officials focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional developments. The dialogue was particularly centered around the recent Israeli attack targeting Doha. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized Qatar's commitment to taking all necessary measures to protect its security and maintain its sovereignty in light of the Israeli assault.

In response, the Iranian Foreign Minister expressed his country's solidarity with Qatar. He strongly condemned the attack, labeling it a violation of international law and norms and a severe threat to the security of both Qatar and the broader region.
