Doha: HE President of the Republic of Ireland Michael Daniel Higgins met with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani. The meeting underscored the cordial relations between Ireland and Qatar and highlighted mutual interests.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs began the meeting by conveying the greetings of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to HE President Higgins. The Amir extended his wishes for good health and happiness to President Higgins, along with hopes for ongoing progress and prosperity for the Irish people.
