Palestinian Woman Martyred by Israeli Drone in Northwest Gaza

Gaza city: A Palestinian woman was martyred today after being hit by an Israeli occupation's drone in the northwest of Gaza City.

According to Qatar News Agency, the woman was killed after being struck by fire from an occupation drone in the Al Atatra area. The death highlights the ongoing tensions and violence in the region despite recent attempts to establish peace.

The sources indicated that since the implementation of the ceasefire agreement on Oct. 11, a total of 260 Palestinians have been killed and more than 630 others have been wounded. The ceasefire was intended to halt the violence, but the death toll continues to rise, showcasing the fragile nature of the agreement.

The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 69,187 martyrs and 170,703 wounded, the majority of whom are children and women. These figures underscore the severe impact of the conflict on civilians, particularly vulnerable groups like children and women.

A ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the Israeli occupation came into effect on Oct. 11, following the withdrawal of the occupation's army from populated areas and positions in the Strip and the start of displaced residents returning to the northern part of the territory. This took place as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza. Despite these efforts, the situation remains volatile, and the humanitarian toll continues to climb.
