Gaza city: A Palestinian man was killed Wednesday by Israeli army fire in the Zeitoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City. The incident marks the latest in a series of violent confrontations in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 70,112 martyrs and 170,986 injured since October 7, 2023. This tragic figure underscores the severe impact of the ongoing conflict on the civilian population in Gaza.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity came into effect on October 11. This followed the withdrawal of the occupation army from positions and populated areas in the Strip. The agreement is part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump's initiative to end the war on Gaza, which also includes the beginning of the return of displaced people to the northern part of the Strip.
