Doha: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday urged all countries around the world to recognize the State of Palestine and support its full membership in the United Nations. This call comes in response to recent Israeli decisions to complete the occupation of Gaza City and approve the colonial E1 plan, which would sever the northern West Bank from the south.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry called on the international community to invoke Chapter VII of the UN Charter to immediately halt what it described as genocide and starvation in the Gaza Strip. It stressed that the time for hesitation or inaction has passed, placing the global community before two choices: either act now to save the Palestinian people and preserve the two-state solution, or risk complicity in ongoing crimes.

The ministry added that the Israeli occupation forces' decisions to complete the occupation of Gaza City and approve the colonial E1 plan are two sides of the same coin, one of genocide, displacement, and colonial annexation.
