Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Religious and Endowments Affairs said on Sunday that Israeli settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound 280 times in 2025, while Israeli authorities prevented the call to prayer from being broadcast 769 times at the Ibrahimi Mosque during the same year.
According to Qatar News Agency, in its annual report, the Ministry stated that since the beginning of last year, the occupation has repeatedly violated the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque by allowing terrorist settlers to storm and desecrate its courtyards and platforms 280 times. During these incursions, settlers performed Talmudic rituals inside the mosque, in what the ministry said was a clear entrenchment of temporal and spatial division.
The ministry added that these incursions take place under the supervision and protection of Israeli police, who routinely prevent Al-Aqsa guards from carrying out their duties within the compound.
Regarding the Ibrahimi Mosque, the ministry said Israeli forces committed daily violations, including repeatedly banning the call to prayer, nearly 769 times, and restricting Muslim worshippers by denying them access and closing the mosque on several occasions during the same period.
The Ministry of Awqaf concluded its report by calling on the international community to put an end to what it described as ongoing Israeli violations, which have escalated significantly amid the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip.
