Pakistani Army: 3 Militants Killed in Security Operation in Southwest of Country

Doha: The Pakistani Army announced Thursday the killing of three militants in the southwest of the country. The Army said in a statement that security forces carried out a security operation based on intelligence information that monitored the militants' movements in the Mastung district of Balochistan province in the southwest of the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, the statement added that during an intense exchange of fire, the forces were able to kill three militants. It also said that an officer and a soldier were also killed during clashes with the militants.

Pakistan regularly announces attacks on militants in various parts of the country, which has suffered from attacks and bombings that claim the lives of many civilians and military personnel.
