Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has expressed its appreciation and welcomed the announcement made by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding France's official recognition of the State of Palestine, scheduled for the upcoming UN General Assembly meetings in September.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement issued by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman urged all remaining countries that have yet to recognize Palestine to take swift action in doing so.
This call aims to embody the two-state solution and affirm the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, enhancing prospects for peace and justice in the Middle East.
