Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) has announced the initiation of confirmatory medical examinations at the Medical Commission for new arrivals from the Republic of the Philippines seeking residency, effective from Wednesday.
According to Qatar News Agency, these confirmatory examinations are designed to ensure that new arrivals are free from communicable diseases. This process is a continuation of the initial examinations conducted at Ministry-approved medical offices in the Philippines prior to their departure to Qatar.
The Ministry has reiterated that these measures are part of its commitment to public health, ensuring that all arrivals are free from any communicable diseases. This initiative is part of a broader procedure where new arrivals from six Asian countries undergo comprehensive medical examinations in their home countries at Qatar Visa Centers accredited by the Ministry. These centers are located in India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
The confirmatory medical examinations for new arrivals from the Philippines are provided free of charge at the Medical Commission for the purpose of residency.
