MoEHE Opens Booth at 2nd Kids Expo 2025 Under ‘Our Children Are Greatest Treasure’ Motto

Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has inaugurated its booth at the Second Kids Expo 2025, held under the motto "Our Children Are the Greatest Treasure", at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). The exhibition will continue until Nov. 8, 2025.

According to Qatar News Agency, the opening ceremony was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs, Omar Abdulaziz Al Naama; Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, Maj. Gen. Hamad Othman Al Dehaimi, and Director of the Nursery Department at MoEHE, Ghada Laram, alongside high-ranking officials and directors of departments from the Ministry of Interior, representatives from the private sector including owners and managers of participating nurseries and kindergartens, as well as accompanying families.

The role played by the nursery underscores the State of Qatar's commitment to strategic investment in early childhood, as the showcased exhibits and educational experiences have advanced the children's skills and stressed the nursery's pivotal role in achieving the pillar of human development of Qatar National Vision 2030, Al Naama highlighted.

He further emphasized that this initiative is the outgrowth of years of planning and the corollary of the country's long-term educational policies, gestated through dedicated efforts and collaboration across institutions.

Editor-in-Chief of Al-Sharq newspaper, Jaber Al Harami, noted the showcases at this booth, which offered a unique experience that transcended conventional educational techniques and provided children with an opportunity to gain advanced personal and knowledge skills before the public.

The participation is a paradigm shift for nursery sectors, an opportunity to hold one-on-one meetings with parents to identify the required services, as well as the rights and duties of the two parties, highlighted Ghada Laram, who also warned against unlicensed home nurseries.

She further commended the virtual reality (VR) experience for visiting the nursery and extended her gratitude to all participating nurseries, whose booth presented an interactive primer on Puppet Theater: Tales of Friendship and Expression, by Fatima Bakrou, to teach children the tenets of friendship, confronting bullying, and bolstering their capabilities of expression and positive engagement.

The participations were interspersed with interactive educational activities, primarily sensory-based instruction designed to develop children's cognitive and motor skills, complemented by environmental experiences that reinforce values of productivity and self-sufficiency.

The MoEHE's participation epitomizes the priority it gives to early childhood as an investment in the national treasure and future, a corollary of its long-standing human development strategy and the outgrowth of visionary national goals, a translation of Qatar National Vision 2030, with the aim of preparing a qualified generation for future entrepreneurship.
