Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has introduced two AI-powered virtual assistants as part of its strategy to enhance digital transformation and improve the quality of government services available to the public.
According to Qatar News Agency, the announcement was made at a press conference organized by MOCI in collaboration with Microsoft. The newly launched services, Smart Assistant and Saif, aim to provide a seamless and integrated user experience. Smart Assistant is accessible via the Single Window platform, while Saif is available on MOCI's official website.
Mubarak Al Khulaifi, Director of MOCI's Single Window Department, explained that Smart Assistant is designed to facilitate procedures and expedite transaction completion by offering immediate responses and guidance through the Single Window platform. This service is available 24/7, which enhances its efficiency and reliability.
Ahmed Al Kuwari, Director of Information Systems at MOCI, highlighted that Saif represents a significant addition to the Ministry's digital services portfolio. The service was developed using advanced artificial intelligence technologies to ensure a reliable and swift interactive experience, allowing users to access information and complete transactions effortlessly.
Al Kuwari further emphasized that these initiatives are part of MOCI's broader plan to modernize digital infrastructure and expand e-services, thereby improving the user experience and setting a precedent for smart government services.
