Ministry of Labor Advocates for Workforce Development at UDST’s Career Fair.

Doha: The Ministry of Labor, represented by the National Manpower Employment Department and the Department of Qualifying Skills and Development, participated in the Career Fair organized by the University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST). The event, held from November 26 to 27, brought together local and international institutions and organizations. According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry's involvement in the Career Fair is part of its ongoing efforts to meet the objectives of the Private Sector Job Nationalization Law. This initiative focuses on developing the national workforce and building a strong base of Qatari talent ready to enter the labor market. The participation aligns with the Third National Development Strategy 2024-2030, which aims to empower Qataris and children of Qatari women, enabling them to compete effectively for private sector jobs. During the exhibition, Ministry representatives provided insights into the educational institutions and academic programs available across va rious degree levels. They also showcased the incentives and benefits offered by the Ministry to support students in their transition to private sector employment. Furthermore, the Ministry highlighted the training and development opportunities available for Qatari university graduates and children of Qatari women who are seeking employment. Students were also informed about the Private Sector Government Scholarship Program and the private sector summer training program. These programs, along with the job-oriented training program, will soon be accessible on the Ministry's website, offering additional pathways for career development.
