Doha: The Ministry of Defense announced that the State of Qatar was targeted on Wednesday by three cruise missiles from Iran. In a statement, the Ministry said that the Qatari Armed Forces successfully intercepted two of the missiles, while the third one struck an oil tanker chartered by QatarEnergy in Qatari economic waters.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry emphasized that necessary measures and coordination were undertaken with relevant authorities to evacuate the oil tanker, which had a crew of 21 people. Fortunately, no human casualties were reported as a result of the incident.
