Doha: HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi engaged in a telephone conversation with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic Asaad Al Shaibani. The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, the current situation in Syria, and mediation efforts involving the United States and Iran.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi reaffirmed Qatar's support for Syria's sovereignty and unity, along with the Syrian people's aspirations for stability and prosperity. He emphasized the significance of all parties remaining open to mediation efforts to address the crisis's root causes through peaceful dialogue, aiming for a lasting agreement to prevent future escalations.
