Doha: HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi engaged in phone discussions with international counterparts, including HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Guinea Morissanda Kouyate, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia Rosa Yolanda Villavicencio Mapy, and HE Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Alexander Khvtisiashvili. They addressed the military escalation in the region and its impact on security and stability.
According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Khulaifi emphasized that the Iranian attack on Qatari territory is a violation of sovereignty and contradicts principles of good neighborliness. He noted Qatar's efforts to facilitate dialogue with Iran and the international community, while condemning the renewed targeting of Qatari territory as a threat to bilateral relations.
Dr. Al Khulaifi called for an immediate halt to escalatory actions and encouraged a return to dialogue to preserve regional security. The foreign ministers from Guinea, Colombia, and Georgia expressed solidarity with Qatar during these discussions.
