Doha: HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) - Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani attended the graduation ceremony of the first batch of the Master's in Law and Master's in Security Studies programs at the College of Graduate Studies, comprising 17 graduates.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event also highlighted the graduation of the 10th mandatory qualification course for male university graduates at the Police College, which included 76 graduates, and the 3rd mandatory course for female university graduates at the Women's Police Institute, with 17 graduates. The ceremony was graced by the presence of HE Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Naer bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and HE Advisor to HH the Amir for Defense Affairs Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, alongside several ministers, senior officials, and graduates' families.
Following the official ceremony, HE the Minister of Interior attended the graduation of the fourth group of the "Tomorrow's Police" program in its sixth edition (Summer 2025), which included 400 participants. The Master's programs in Law and Security Studies are designed to develop specialized competencies in legal and security sectors, enhancing participants' research and analytical skills to address contemporary challenges and fulfill the needs of state institutions.
The mandatory qualification course for university graduates is a crucial step in preparing qualified national cadres to work in a professional security environment through military training, specialized legal education, and the development of leadership skills and institutional discipline. Outstanding students were honored during the ceremony, with cadet officer Khalifa Rashid Abdullah Al Kuwari securing first place in the male course, and cadet officer Maha Haan Al Nuaimi leading in the female course.
The graduation ceremony for the sixth edition of the "Tomorrow's Police" program featured a visual presentation of the program's content, security demonstrations, and skill displays that showcased the high level of training and qualitative benefits derived from the program. The program aims to instill national identity, loyalty, and belonging in young participants, promoting values, responsibility, and community service while upholding Islamic and Arab principles through diverse activities that foster leadership skills and confidence.
The program's activities included military and sports exercises such as infantry, shooting, swimming, self-defense, and educational lectures, aimed at enhancing the participants' capabilities in various areas.
