Doha: HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani met with HE Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America, Kashyap Patel. The meeting focused on enhancing joint security cooperation, exchanging expertise, and supporting collaborative efforts to strengthen security and combat crime. Both parties also reviewed ongoing cooperation related to the security of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting culminated in the signing of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between the Ministry of Interior and Lekhwiya, and the FBI. These agreements were signed by HE Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani for the Qatari side, and by HE Director of the FBI Kashyap Patel for the US side.
The MoUs are intended to advance mechanisms for security cooperation, coordinating efforts in training, exchanging information, and building capacity, all in support of the shared interests of both nations.
