Doha: The Department of Meteorology has warned of expected thundery rain associated with strong wind at places.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Department's daily weather report indicates that the inshore weather until 6:00 pm on Tuesday will start hazy to misty in some locations, turning relatively hot during the day with the possibility of local rain clouds, which may become thundery at times, and transitioning to mild conditions by night.
The offshore weather is expected to be partly cloudy at times with a chance of scattered rain in certain areas, as stated in the report. Inshore winds will initially be variable, shifting to northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 5 - 15 KT, reaching up to 30 KT during thundery rain episodes. Offshore winds will similarly shift from northwesterly to northeasterly, starting at 3 - 13 KT and increasing to 8 - 18 KT later.
The sea state inshore will initially be 1 - 2 ft in some areas, rising to 2 - 4 ft later in the day. Offshore, the sea will be 1 - 3 ft initially, increasing to 3 - 5 ft as the day progresses.
Visibility inshore is expected to range from 4 - 8 km, reducing to 3 km or less in some areas initially, while offshore visibility will range from 5 - 10 km.
