Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind During Daytime

Doha: Inshore weather until 6:00 pm on Monday is expected to experience slight to blowing dust and hot daytime conditions, as reported by the Department of Meteorology. The report particularly warns of strong winds during the daytime.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will be slightly dusty at times, with warnings of strong wind and high seas until nightfall. Inshore winds will shift from southwesterly to northwesterly at speeds of 10 to 20 knots, gusting up to 30 knots during the day, and decreasing to 3 - 13 knots by evening.

Offshore, the winds will be northwesterly at a speed of 10 to 20 knots, reaching up to 25 knots, and will shift to southwesterly at a speed of 5 - 15 knots by night. The sea state inshore will initially range from 2 to 4 feet, peaking at 5 feet at times, and will fall to 1 - 3 feet by night.

Offshore, the sea state will range from 3 to 6 feet, peaking at 8 feet, and decreasing to 2 - 4 feet by night. Visibility inshore is expected to be between 4 to 8 km, with some areas experiencing visibility reduced to 3 km or less, while offshore visibility will range from 4 to 9 km.
