Dozens Injured in Russian Drone Attacks on Ukrainian Cities, Kyiv Reports

Kyiv: Ukrainian authorities announced Monday that dozens of people were injured in drone attacks carried out by Russia on several Ukrainian cities.

According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that at least 43 people were injured in a drone strike on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city. Local and military officials said that residential buildings, a kindergarten, and a military recruitment office were damaged during two waves of attacks. They added that during the second wave, six drones struck the northeastern city within ten minutes, targeting "residential streets, vehicles, and people."

In the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia, Governor Ivan Fedorov said today that at least 17 people were injured, and dozens of residential buildings and a university building were damaged in a Russian drone airstrike.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged Kyiv's Western partners to fulfill their pledges to strengthen Ukraine's defenses. Zelensky wrote on social media: "We are relying heavily on our partners to fully deliver on what has been agreed. Air defense remains the top priority for saving lives."
