Lebanese President and Kuwaiti Interior Minister Discuss Security Cooperation and Regional Issues

Doha: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern during his meeting today with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. They also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries' security agencies and exchange expertise in various fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, president Aoun stressed the importance of joint coordination to address regional challenges, particularly in the security field, emphasizing the development of cooperation mechanisms to enhance security and stability in the region.

For his part, the Kuwaiti Interior Minister affirmed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Lebanon in various sectors and consolidate cooperation and joint coordination between the two brotherly countries.

He also pointed to the importance of developing joint security work to keep pace with challenges and changes and contribute to consolidating a comprehensive cooperation system based on sustainable coordination.
