According to preliminary investigations, the individual, who was active in the city of Salé, pledged allegiance to the terrorist organization "Daesh" and expressed interest in acquiring expertise in the manufacture of explosives because of "fatwas" inciting to perpetrate terrorist acts, said a BCIJ statement. In parallel with his terrorist project, the suspect established contacts with "Daesh" intermediaries with a view to joining one of this organization's branches in the Sahel-Saharan region, added the same source.
