Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Results as All Share Index Declines

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with a decline in the All Share Index, which fell by 13.85 points to settle at 8,781.89 points, marking a decrease of 0.16 percent. The session witnessed the trading of 692.2 million shares valued at KWD 116.3 million, approximately USD 353.5 million, conducted through 32,540 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a slight increase, gaining 4.30 points to reach 8,232.37 points, an uptick of 0.05 percent. This was achieved through trading 522.8 million shares across 23,203 transactions, with a total value of KWD 67.5 million, roughly USD 202.5 million.

Conversely, the Premier Market Index saw a decline, losing 19.06 points to close at 9,352.87 points, down by 0.20 percent. This was the result of 169.3 million shares changing hands in 9,337 transactions, valued at KWD 48.7 million, or about USD 148 million.

Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index recorded a gain of 36.05 points, closing at 8,543.11 points, which is a rise of 0.42 percent. This segment saw a trading volume of 360.5 million shares carried out in 15,156 deals, with a total value of KWD 49.5 million, approximately USD 150.4 million.
