Kuwait: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index losing 23.58 points to settle at 8,894.44 points, marking a 0.26 percent decrease.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed a volume of 394.8 million shares, amounting to a value of KWD 90.15 million, or approximately USD 274.9 million. These transactions were executed through 24,697 deals.
The Main Market Index showed a positive movement, gaining 8.04 points to reach 8,470.62 points, which represents a 0.10 percent increase. This came through 255 million shares traded in 16,380 transactions, with a total value of KWD 41.9 million, roughly USD 127.7 million.
Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a decline, falling by 32.64 points to close at 9,439.67 points, a reduction of 0.34 percent. This was achieved with 119.8 million shares transacted across 8,317 deals, valued at KWD 48.15 million, approximately USD 146.8 million.
Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index saw an upward trend, gaining 12.44 points to close at 8,622.02 points, which is an increase of 0.14 percent. The volume for this index was 132.9 million shares, traded in 8,355 deals totaling KWD 25.7 million, or about USD 78.3 million.
