Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index falling by 14.33 points to reach 8,565.39 points, marking a decrease of 0.17 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 489.4 million shares exchanged, with a value of KWD 112.7 million (approximately USD 343.7 million) distributed over 24,089 transactions. Despite the overall decline in the All Share Index, the Main Market Index experienced an increase of 30.07 points, reaching 7,908.16 points, representing a rise of 0.38 percent. This was achieved through 269 million shares traded via 13,408 transactions, amounting to a value of KWD 48.6 million (around USD 148.2 million).
In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a decrease of 26.12 points, closing at 9,152.56 points, down by 0.28 percent. This segment of the market witnessed the exchange of 220.3 million shares through 10,681 transactions, with a total value of KWD 64 million (approximately USD 195.2 million).
Meanwhile, the bourse's Main 50 Index recorded an upward movement of 29.03 points, settling at 8,018.79 points, which reflects an increase of 0.36 percent. This was facilitated by a stock volume of 192.9 million shares, executed in 8,539 deals, valued at KWD 40.8 million (roughly USD 124.4 million).
