Erbil: President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, discussed regional developments during a phone call with UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.
According to Qatar News Agency, both sides exchanged views on the political process in Iraq, as well as the latest developments in the war and its repercussions for the region and the world. They emphasized the importance of finding peaceful solutions and intensifying diplomatic efforts to end the conflict.
Cooper also expressed the United Kingdom's condemnation of the targeting of the residence of the Kurdistan Region President, affirming that her country attaches great importance to Iraq's security and stability.
