Munich: England international Harry Kane led Bayern Munich to qualify for the second round of the German Cup (DFB-Pokal) with a 3-2 victory over third-division side Wehen Wiesbaden on Wednesday. According to Qatar News Agency, Bayern took an early lead with two goals, scored by Kane in the 16th minute from a penalty and Frenchman Michael Olise in the 51st minute. However, the underdog team equalized in the second half through Turkish striker Fatih Kaya, who scored twice in the 64th and 70th minutes. Kane came to Bayern's rescue in stoppage time, netting the winning goal in the 90+4th minute. Earlier in the match, Kane had won a penalty but missed it, ending his streak of 31 consecutive successful penalties in official matches. Bayern Munich, who hold the record with 20 German Cup titles, last won the competition in 2020 but have failed to lift the trophy since.
