Jordanian, Italian Foreign Ministers Discuss Efforts to De-escalate Regional Tensions in Phone Call

Doha: Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi held a phone call on Sunday with his Italian counterpart, Antonio Tajani, during which they discussed bilateral relations and efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and return to negotiations as a path toward resolving the Iranian nuclear issue. The two ministers emphasized the need for joint efforts to end the regional escalation that is pushing the region toward greater conflict and instability.

According to Qatar News Agency, Safadi stressed that ending the Israeli aggression on Gaza – and the resulting humanitarian catastrophe – must remain a top international priority, despite the global focus on de-escalating tensions sparked by the Israeli attack on Iran. He underlined the importance of addressing all root causes of instability to achieve comprehensive regional calm.
