Doha: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani held a phone call on Sunday with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss the Israeli attack on Iranian territory. During the call, Al-Sudani affirmed Iraq’s solidarity with Iran and stressed his country’s commitment to preventing expansion of the conflict. He also highlighted the efforts led by the Iraqi government across various channels to prevent Israeli violations of Iraqi airspace.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Iraqi Prime Minister expressed Iraq’s readiness to provide all necessary forms of assistance to help address the aftermath of the attack on Iran. For his part, the Iranian President emphasized the importance of a unified stance among Islamic countries in the face of Israeli aggression and blatant violations of international law.
