Amman: A Jordanian-Philippine political consultations round was held Tuesday, headed by Secretary-General of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Majid Al Qatarneh, and Philippine's Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs Theresa Lazaro. The meeting aimed to discuss a range of regional and international issues and to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral relationships between the two countries. According to Qatar News Agency, the consultations covered several topics of mutual interest, such as enhancing economic, trade, investment, health, tourism, and education ties. Additionally, the discussions addressed the latest regional developments and efforts to halt the Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, the dangerous escalation in the West Bank, and the importance of delivering sustainable humanitarian aid to Gaza and Lebanon while ensuring civilian protection.
