Turin: Italy's Lorenzo Musetti defeated Australia's Alex de Minaur 7-5, 3-6, 7-5 at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, securing his first victory at the year-end event.

According to Qatar News Agency, the world No. 9 Musetti rebounded following a first-round loss to the American Taylor Fritz, maintaining his unbeaten record against de Minaur in 2025 - his third straight win in their head-to-head encounters.

De Minaur, seeded No. 7, served for the match at 5-4 in the decider but was unable to close it out, leaving his tournament hopes hanging by a thread.

Musetti now advances to face world No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz tomorrow as the Spanish star pursues his first ATP Finals title.
