Al Shaqab Finalizes Preparations for 2025/2026 Equestrian League

Al shaqab: Al Shaqab, affiliated with Qatar Foundation, has completed all preparations for the Al Shaqab League 2025/2026 - League 01, scheduled to take place at the Longines Indoor Arena from November 14 to 15.

According to Qatar News Agency, the equestrian center recently secured a strategic partnership with Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), which will serve as the league's official sponsor. The signing ceremony, held on Wednesday, featured Al Shaqab's Deputy Executive Director, Khalid Al Hitmi, and QIIB's Deputy CEO, Jamal Al Jamal, along with officials from both organizations.

Al Hitmi emphasized that the partnership with QIIB underscores the importance of national collaborations in promoting equestrian sports in Qatar. He stated that the sport is a significant reflection of Qatar's culture and heritage and aligns with Al Shaqab's vision of enhancing equestrian sports both locally and internationally. Al Hitmi commended QIIB's support and expressed aspirations to bolster the presence of Qatari equestrian sports on international stages and support riders in achieving success that represents Qatar's global sporting status.

Al Jamal highlighted that the partnership represents a shared commitment to society and the nation, with the sport being a proud legacy and cultural symbol. He conveyed optimism that the partnership would advance the development of equestrian sports and riders at all levels, as well as improve opportunities for emerging talents to reach international platforms.

Participation in the Al Shaqab League is open to all members of the Al Shaqab Riding Academy, as well as external riders. The events are conducted in line with the regulations of the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI), except for the preparatory rounds.

The league offers a distinctive platform for the development of equestrian sports and global competitiveness. It is accessible to riders ranging from beginners to professionals, providing opportunities to gain experience and hone skills in a professional environment.

The Al Shaqab League will comprise four main rounds: League 01 on November 14 and 15, League 02 on December 26 and 27, League 03 on April 17 and 18, 2026, and the Final Championship from May 21 to 23, 2026.
