Israeli Occupation Forces Arrest Palestinian Journalist in West Bank

Hebron: Israeli occupation forces arrested a Palestinian journalist during a raid on the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that the Israeli occupation forces stormed Beit Ummar early in the morning, conducting a series of raids and searches on several citizens' homes.

Citizen Mohammed Abu Ayyash recounted that Israeli forces raided his residence, searched through the premises, and disrupted its contents before arresting his 24-year-old daughter, journalist Farah Abu Ayyash.

Reports from Palestinian prisoner organizations reveal that since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have arrested or detained over 194 journalists, with 49 still in detention.

The occupied West Bank and Jerusalem continue to experience daily raids and incursions by Israeli forces and settlers, leading to confrontations, arrests, and the use of live and rubber bullets, as well as tear gas against Palestinian youth. These incidents have intensified alongside the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.
