Egyptian FM Engages Iranian Counterpart and IAEA Director to Ease Mideast Tensions

Cairo: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty discussed efforts to maintain calm and reduce escalation and tensions in the Middle East, with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, in two separate phone calls held on Wednesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the calls, the Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of adhering to diplomacy and paving the way for the resumption of cooperation with the IAEA, in a manner that contributes to restoring trust and creating an environment conducive to achieving security and stability in the region.
