Tulkarm: The Israeli occupation forces burned several homes in the Nur Shams camp, east of Tulkarm, on Sunday, as part of ongoing demolition operations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the occupation forces targeted homes in the Manshiyya neighborhood of the camp, maintaining a tight siege and continuing their aggression for the 162nd consecutive day. Infantry squads have occupied Palestinian homes, using them as military barracks after evacuating the residents, and are firing live ammunition at anyone attempting to approach the camp.
In recent weeks, the Nur Shams camp has been subjected to demolition operations affecting dozens of residential buildings. These actions are part of an Israeli plan to demolish 106 buildings across the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps. In Tulkarm camp, demolition activities have intensified and are now in their 175th day, with Israeli bulldozers rapidly targeting more residential structures. This forms part of a broader plan to demolish 104 buildings containing approximately 400 homes, displacing thousands of families.
The ongoing escalation has resulted in the displacement of over 5,000 families from the camps, impacting more than 25,000 Palestinians. Over 600 buildings have been completely destroyed, and 2,573 homes have suffered partial damage. Entrances to the camps are blocked, rendering them inaccessible and lifeless. Residents are unable to reach their homes or check on their property, facing direct gunfire if they attempt to approach the area.
