Gaza Government Media Office Warns of Imminent Mass Death of Children Amid Blockade

Gaza: The Government Media Office in Gaza has issued a stark warning that over one million children in the Gaza Strip are on the verge of "mass death." This alarming situation follows more than 140 days of the Israeli occupation's closure of border crossings and its blockade on food and medical supplies entering the territory.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Government Media Office released a statement on Sunday, accusing the occupation of employing starvation as a weapon against the Palestinian population in Gaza. The office claims that hunger is being used as a systematic tactic in a genocidal war against the enclave's residents by preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, baby formula, and fuel, while imposing a full-scale siege that has led to the collapse of food and medical supplies.

The statement further warns that the Strip is on the brink of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, with over 2.4 million people, including 1.1 million children, at risk of mass killing and starvation. It emphasized that the global community is witnessing Gaza's destruction through starvation and genocide without intervening.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza, impacting more than two million people, has reached critical levels. Since March 2, 2025, the occupation authorities have maintained the closure of all crossings and have barred the entry of essential food and medical aid, resulting in widespread famine throughout the Strip.
